kernel mode

i am sorry if there was a thread about thise allready but i didnt find it in the search.
i just upgraded my windows to vista 32 bit ultimate and installed DT 4.10.0.0 and when i try to mount an .ISO it writes unable to mount image. unable to open file in kernel mode.
agine i am sorry if there was allready a thread about thise.
and also what is kernel mode?

To be honest, I would recommend doing a fresh install (wiping out the hard drive and installing from scratch). Upgrading from one version of Windows to another has always been a bad idea.
