HELP* Urgent

i tried mounting a image to the virtual drive but my files was unsupported so on my way out of the program i deleted the files in the program and they are not on my desktop anymore, where the hell did this program send it and how can i retrive it?. i checked on my hard drive and the amount of space left is the exact amount with the files i originally had.
