I am using Daemon tools with 1.53 version of SPTD. It installs ok and actually work perfectly. The problem is when I try an use my LG-GGC-H20L Blu-ray HD-DVD player. Device recognizes the player and the virtual player and show no conflict. But as soon as I put a disc in the drive I get the BSOD. As long as I don't load SPTD at start up the DVD player plays perfectly. My current solution is leave SPTD unload when not in use. When needed reboot load SPTD and remember to not use the DVD player. I tried looking at the minidump but it is nothing but unprintable characters. Any other combo drive users having the same problem?

STPD conflict resolution
I posted about the problem I am having with my DVD drive not working only when STPD is loaded. I was reading that pro advance has an IDE emulation and I was wondering if this might be a solution to my problem. since my dvd drive is a SATA drive and STPD is trying to emulate a SCSI and they are both on the same IRQ. I was thinking that making STPD an IDE device might resolve the conflict.

SPTD does not create any device at all. This is all done by Daemon Tools.
Do you have any minidump related to that BSOD (check Windows\Minidump folder)? Send newest file to support@daemon-tools.cc for analysis.
Do you have AnyDVD or similar software installed?Everybody be cool! You, be cool!
They'll keep fighting! And they'll win!

still getting BSOD
I sent the minidump, has there been any progress on what the problem is. On my end there has been some progress. removed all parts of deamon tools and sptd reinstalled the most current version of deamon tools. Now it will play data and audio CD but still get bsod with DVD disk.

problem resolved
deamon tools and DVD now play really nice together.
The problem was the IDE drivers.
My mother board has the nvidia chip set. thus minidump showed a conflict with the nvata.sys driver. I tried using the most current driver from the mother board, no work I even tried the most current from NVIDIA still not fixed. Just for grinds and giggles I removed all NVIDIA drivers and let the system use the windows default driver. What do you know problem fixed. Have not seen any down side to using the window drivers instead of the NVIDIA drivers. If anyone knows of anything I should lookout for let me know.
