Install problems

Having problems installing Daemon Tools. I had to do a hard removal of a previous version, because every time I tried to do the Uninstaller it just brought up an error and then shut very quickly. So I removed all the files that I know of that existed on my PC... but every time I try to reinstall it it just tells me to restart my PC, and it continues on this cycle. Any ideas as to what to do? I've disabled System Restore, as someone on another forum told me that might be an issue... and I've also tried different versions of Daemon Tools... no such luck.
