I tried all of the above methods except the regmon method.

I load it up and it has lots of information that scrolls very fast.

How can I isolate the registry entry related to the DAEMON Tools problem with regmon?

Also, are the virtual devices supposed to have upper and lower filters like redbook and imapi?

The last thing I remember doing is running FilterFix to try and fix a problem with my DVD Writers burst rate beiing cut in half.

An uninstall of DAEMON Tools fixed that but when I re-installed I started getting the access denied error.

Virtual drives use the same filters that are applied to your real CD drives. The OS cannot tell the difference and applies it to all (real and fake).

Post which describes the clean OS installed settings:

a little off-topic: I also realized a mistake from something I posted above

You will only see this kind of data from a registry export or a logfile

        72,00,65,00,64,00,62,00,6f,0 0,6f,00,6b,00,00,00,00,00 = redbook (standard filter)

        69,00,6d,00,61,00,70,00,69,0 0,00,00,00,00 = imapi (standard filter)

BOTH are standard values and I should NOT have replied that they were a problem.
