Windows Installer Problem(Windows Xp)

Burning Software: Nero6
Anti-virus Software: NortonAntivirus 2004
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.41

I couldnt access to the setup.exe and i got the following message..

" The Windows Installer Service Could Not Be Accessed. This Can Occur If You Are Running Windows In Safe Mode, Or If Windows Installer Is Not Correctly Installed. "

My windows was not in safe mode while running the setup of DT, i got another DT and tried, but it doesnt work. Someone help me with this asap. thx guys..

I've had similar problems when trying to install software in the past and it turned out to be Windows itself at fault (there's a surprise! :wink: ) and not the program. If you go to Microsoft's site and download the latest version of Windows Installer (as your error message suggests) and run Windows Update, it should rectify your problem as it did with mine.

glad you solved you problem back there, i went to windows update, but i couldnt find any Windows Installer, my windows is frequently updated, or do you have the file? mind sending it to me? my msn is pipipapipu20@hotmail.com thx dude.
