daemon tools and a broken bios :-/

hi,
a few hours ago i've installed daemon tools on my notebook. daemon tools had to restart the notebook to complete the installation. but instead of rebooting, the screen of my notebook stays black. there is no beep and i can't hear any of the usual booting sounds...i tried to reset the bios by removing the battery. didn't help...
so my questions are: is it possible that daemon tools is able to destroy my bios? Writes daemon tools acutally something in the bios?!?!
Some of my friends suggested this...
