Help! Cant make a virtual drive!

Does anyone know what is happening? My friend cant seem to make a virtual drive with dt. I can mount and make disc images fine. For some reason he just cant make a virtual drive. When he adds one, nothing happens. It's down on the crack icon, but when he mounts, nothing happens. Does anyone know what's happening?

No error message, but i have to find out what version my freind has. The crack icon-the dt icon at the bottom right of the computer where all the interent connections and stuff are.

It is called tray icon - not crack icon.

Also check if a drive letter is assigned to virtual drive.

I think he means because it looks like a crack (though it's actually a lightning bolt).

Hi, if i have similar problem... Okey I have Dell Inspiron 1520 with Windows Xp SP3 and Daemon tools lite (4.35.6). So here is the problem :
Then I left click DT tray icon and choose Divice 0:[-:] No media everything looks fine, you select cd or dvd image file, you get mesage that DT is mounting that file but then you open My computer there is no virtual drive.
