  • vista media center & daemon tools lite PC doesn't stay a sleep

With Daemon Tools Lite loaded I put my PC to sleep but after a while my PC will wake up. It doesn't stay sleeping. If I remove Daemon tools it will stay a sleep fine.

Any help or info would be appreciated.

    Which OS?
    Which DT version?
What do you mean exactly with sleep? Standby?

Vista Media Center Ultimate x86 32-bit
      Daemon Tools Lite v4.30.3

Yes it will go into Standby sleep (S3) when I press the button on my media center remote. It will stay in standby for a while then after a certain period of time my PC will turn itself back on.

I set my PC to go into standby after 30 mins when I wake up in the morning it's on for no reason not doing anything the entire night.

My media center wakes up to record then after 30 mins it will go into standby (S3). It does this consistently well but every time I install Daemon Tools Lite it has trouble staying in standby.

        Can't reproduce here on 4.30.3.
I saw you also have the same problem with Virtual CloneDrive. On their forum you state when uninstalling their program, problem is gone. Here you state vice-versa. What is correct now?

I've tried both programs I have the same issue PC will not stay in standby mode. if i uninstall either program it will consistently stay in standby and wakeup then go into standby properly.

it might be mediabrowser.tv plugin for vista media center since that program uses daemon tools to mount iso's.

You could test it when you would uninstall that plugin and then mounting through command line or tray icon.
