Can't run or uninstall DT Lite 4.3

Hi,

I think some trojan fragged my DT lite.

when i try to start it, i get this error message:

Error: Engine loading was failed.

and when i try to uninstall DT, i get this one:

DAEMON Tools Lite-Deinstallation

DT doesn't appear in the windows software maintanance. u know, the one from which u normally can uninstall programs...

the virtual drive however still appears in the explorer.

has anyone an idea how to fix this??

Try Uninstall link in Daemon Tools program group in start menu, or uninst.exe in Daemon Tools installation folder.

Already disabled any security software?

I can't do that because there's this virus somewhere on my harddisk, that regularly wants to activate some trojan.injector.cz. luckily bitdefender blocks them. but it doesn't find the real issue...

i think i just got to get hold of that first...

I had the same problem, if you have bitdefender 2009, switch to advanced view click the Antivirus tab then scanner settings then add daemon.exe to the exceptions list, or disable the behavioral scanner.
