Winquake CD Audio Issue

Hello
I am trying to play Quake with CD audio enabled however whenever I use daemon tools the game says there there is CD in the drive even thought with windows media player it work. This means I am forced to use the physical disc to hear the audio.
Please may someone help me and thank you for all who do.

if i remember right, daemon tools 3.47 supports analog audio, where daemon tools 4 does not.... what os are you using?

you could also try setting the daemon tools drive to be the first (alphabetical order) cd/dvd drive on the system, some old games only work from the first drive for audio
