  • problems mounting

    Hi there,

    I have problems mounting EVERYTHING.....
.img .iso .nrg and so on.

The problem is that all those files show up as folders on my PC
I have Win XP Sp3 installed together with daemon4304-lite

The problem started after I updated Daemon Tool to the newest version, and it does not roll back if uninstalled.

I have tried everything, and google does not help me either.

Any kind of advice is welcome, even if it does not include daemon tools.

Shows up as folders? Do you mean the image's icon? If yes, then goto Preferences -> Integration and check everything.

      They ARE folders.
Two files in the folders. "1" and "2"

They have folder icons, act like folder, and DAEMON also treats them as folders...

      Wierd.

PS: No I have not had, nor do I at the moment have, virus in my system.

I have tried your thing in Preferences, and it looks OK to me.

This is what I see in my Explorer.

This is what Daemon Tools looks like

          Same problem with IsoBuster

Note: Sorry about the screenshots are in danish

            Found out something new.

I can make new NRG files, so I think I need advice in another direction.
How can I make them folders back into ISO, NRG, IMG files again?

As you can see from the screendumps, the folders contain two files without extensions.

So I ask; what is the content of an ISO file?
Is it a playable file, that I can rename and make into an ISO file again?

Well, if you created a folder called *.iso, then we can't help you. Just recreate the image from your original disk or use DT Pro Image Editor to create a new one from the files.

Well, I did not make folders called *.iso
                The files turned into folders.

I hoped there were an easier way to reverse that, and make ISO files from what I have...

I will just create new ISO files....

                Thanks for all your help.

                Topic can be closed now.
