prompted to install on boot up after already installing

Installed DTpro4 trial and everytime i boot up my windows xp the install wizard opens again telling me to install. Im not sure what happened but i use the program regularly and it has become very annoying to have to abort the install file everytime i boot up when it's already installed. I dont see the install file on the startup for msconfig and already tried reinstalling all together. any suggestions? thanks

Open registry editor (run regedit) and check
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunOnce
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\RunOnce
regarding Daemon Tools installer entries; there seems to be something wrong with your OS, if it doesn't delete RunOnce keys though.

i looked at both paths and i don't see any entries related to Daemon tools. I don't have the installer file anymore i'm not sure how it keeps trying to install. any other suggestions?

1. Download Process Explorer tool from Microsoft Process Explorer
Process Explorer it the advanced task manager for Windows.
2. Start Process Explorer and find DAEMON Tools process in the list.
3. Double-click on DAEMON Tools process.
4. Find full path where from DAEMON Tools was launched on Image tab of the process properties window.
5. Ensure you delete all DAEMON Tools files (probably also in temp folder).
