Daemon Tools Lite 4.30.4.27 does not start

I installed Daemon Tools Lite 4.30.4.27.
I have XP Home SP3, using Firefox 3.
When I try to start it using the shortcut on the desktop, or from program files - daemon.exe, there is nothing on screen, only the icon on the systray.
If I stop the program from Task Manager, and restart, the same thing happens.
Is there supposed to be an interface on screen?
I have never installed Daemon tools before.
