A while back when I had a clean installation of the OS I tried installing DT lite, the latest version, but it didn't work. After the first reboot requested by the installation process the machine failed during the boot process; safe mode failed to boot as well. The only option I had then was to reinstall the OS and lay off using DT for the mean time. But now the need for drive emulation has once again come up, and this time I thought I'd ask before attempting anything.
I'm trying to install DT lite on Windows 7 RC build 7100 (i386). What exact steps do I take before I execute the main installation program? (windows does warn before hand that this program is incompatible)
Also, should I set up a system recovery point prior to trying anything?
