Made an image of a disc but the game says please insert disc (drive is mounted)

Hi. I have a problem that is way over my head. number one the game im talking about is halo custom edition and i bought halo one and that also has the same problem. Anyway back to the problem i would mount the image of the halo disc i made an image of yesterday and the game doesnt recognize it. What do i do?
