I like to check with the support team about sptd.sys and some associated sp**.sys files, where * could be any random letter. When running some of the anti-rootkit programs, I see tons of processes hooked by sp**.sys. At one point I thought this may be a malware massively infecting my computer, as they were identified by these anti-rootkit programs. I like to confirm such files are as a result of running Daemon Tools, because whenever sptd.sys is disabled, these sp**.sys file stops appearing.
