iso files causing system hang

Playing mounted iso files (from internal hard drive) causes my system to lock up. There is never a BSOD or error message, the system just freezes up completely. The problem always happens within 10 seconds of trying to play the file. Every iso file has this problem. I'm using Daemon Tools Lite 4.30.4 with SPTD 1.62. I've also tried Alcohol but it has the same problem. I'm using Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic (from the K-Lite Codec Pack). I have all the latest drivers, etc.

iso files causing system hang - update?

Hi, wondering if this issue was ever resolved?

Because I'm running into the same problem with the latest DT in XP as well. Not too sure what to do next.
