Error code 14, previous post non-helpful

I have windows 7 professional. I get the error code 14 when trying to install and when I start up my computer I get the message saying that I need sptd 1.6. When I try to uninstall i can't find the program anywhere on my computer.

look for sptd files

Daemon gives you error 14 because it doesn't uninstall cleanly. Do a search for all files with sptd, esp in your Windows 32 drivers file. Delete all sptd files before trying to reinstall.
