This is my first post.

I'm interested in converting my BDs into images but I've never done anything like this before so I was hoping someone might be able to answer a few questions for me or point me to an existing resource that has them.

I read about Daemon Tools Lite here and it looks like it can mount and run the BD and HDDVD images I want to make.

1) Can Daemon Tools Lite make iso files from BDs and HDDVDs?

2) If it does, will compressing them at creation slow them down during use?

3) What's the advantage of making .mdx versus .iso files?

I believe you can make iso files from BDs and HDDVDs with DT Lite, but not with preset profiles like you can do with the pro and net editions.
