OS: Windows 7 x64
AV: Avast 5.0.677 (Disabled)
Steps performed:
Scenario 1.
Disable AV
Upgrade from 4.35 (with working IDE) to 4.40
Reboot
Result: IDE Not working after reboot
Remove Virtual IDE Device in Daemon Tools
Add Virtual IDE Device in Daemon Tools
Result: IDE Device not working
Scenario 2.
Disable AV
Remove Virtual IDE Device and Remove Virtual SCSI Device (which is working)
Uninstall SPTD with sptdinst-v175-x64
Reboot
Disable AV
Install SPTD with sptdinst-v175-x64
Reboot
Add Virtual IDE Device
Result: IDE not working
Device Manager shows "ATA Channel 0" as a "This device Cannot Start (code 10)" after installation.
Hardware id is 10bd-5240
The other ATA Channel 0 shows as "intel-3b2f" and is working.
Uninstalling SPTD removes the 10bd Ata CHannel 0 and also the error message.
Are older SPTD's available so I can install a older version (That was working) or is there an easy fix to the above problem.
