labels fail on some Virt.Drive detected as DVD not CD drives

Havind different virtual drives (one detected as CD drive and the other as DVD drive) - and mounting the same CD on both result in label shown only on that detected as CD drive but not that detected as DVD. Explorer as well as property tab shows no label at all on CD mounted on detected DVD virtual drive.

So i have 2 virt.drives one occasionally detected as CD the other - DVD and guess - DVD labels are also show only on CD detected virtual drive.

Playing with deletion/creation virtual drives gave the same result except for different volume letters involved - they just pass cd/dvd drive detection one to another time to time. and so labels shown on different volumes and so not shown on the same pattern.

Maybe it's feature or bug don't know. Let it be as support request not bug report.

XP SP3+, EAV, Comodo IS (no AV).

Who can understand the issue?
Disc label not shown in explorer or under disc properties.

1) Specify your DT version.
2) Are you sure that both virtual drives were created by DAEMON Tools?
3) Please post a screenshot of your problem.

what for? Developers can understand the descr.



Either device parameter not properly set prior to ~DO_DEVICE_INITIALIZING or Windows XP don't recognize smth.
note DVD vs, CD, however CD devices are created much more in rare cases (i.e. mostly these buggy "DVD-drives" devices created not CDs that can handle all labels either mounted CD or DVD image)

It is Windows issue. We cannot fix it.

P.S. Concerning the image which you have mounted... Please read carefully DTLite End User License Agreement and forum rules.

Prove that this is Windows issue. Show me KB or else.
And what I should read in agreement and rules about my own images here?

I can answer you the same way. If you think that it's DT problem, prove it.
Do you have more important problems with DT virtual drives than absence of disc label in Windows Explorer? It seems you don't.
And yes, DO_DEVICE_INITIALIZING processed well.
