Copying files within Virtual Drive

Hi
after creating a virtual drive , I try to copy and paste files in its root directory but I get an error message that indicates that "the CD-ROM is READ only, Cannot copy files"
Is there a way around this problem ? (the files in question are needed to start up the program)

The virtual drive is supposed to be read only since it mimics a real cd/dvd/bluray.
