cyclic redundancy check error during installation.........can anyone help? :)

Operating System: Windows xp
Burning Software: nero
Anti-virus Software: norton
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.41

I can mount the image fine, but about two thirds of the way through installation, I get this error. Data error:cyclic redundancy check. Then installation stops and I'm back at the desktop. Anyone know about or have a problem like this with Daemon tools? Thanks.

CRC errors are usually caused by damaged image - re-create from you original cd.

Ok. thanks for the reply. I also had this error happen; at about 90% complete, trying to install Prince of Persia, my computer freezes up. I can still move the mouse, but I have to do a cold restart every time. Is there a problem with my system, or can that be a bad image as well?

check ur RAM.
I also had this type of problem replace ur ram and try again

Anti-virus Software: Norton Antivirus 2004
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.44

The problem is not with Daemon Tools at all. Its a problem with the installed ASPI layers. Remove your ASPI layers and install install ForceASPI 1.7.

(Force ASPI comes with Killaspi.bat which removes all ASPI layers).
