Due to many Problems i had installing the SPTD driver correctly, i want to give a step by step solution, to get it work, even with the Comodo Security, especially with Defense+:
1. Check if SPTD is already installed: When Daemon Tools is installed, you should find under Start -> Daemon Tools a "SPTD Setup" -> run it
If it says something like "SPTD detected" your SPTD is installed correctly!
Otherwise: Re-Installing Daemon Tools Lite (and SPTD) on Windows 7
2. If SPTD is installed correctly, make sure Daemon Tools is running.
Now open your Comodo -> go to Defense+ -> Defense+ Settings -> Execution Control Setting (in german: Einstellungen zur Ausführungskontrolle, it is the second tab)
Now you should find in the right lower corner the Button "Exclusions" -> click it
3. Now go to "Add" -> "Running Processes" -> Select your Daemon Tools Process (maybe you should add every Daemon Tools Process like Agent)
4. Now close your Daemon Tools completly, also the Agent. Afterwards start your Daemon Tools again. If it is done correctly, your SPTD Status is now detected by Daemon Tools (Help -> About -> SPTD Version)
5. All fine. No Restart or Reinstall. No shutdown of Comodo.
I hope i can help all Comodo Users who have problems with the SPTD Installtion and gone sick of all the system restarts, which were useless in the end!
