Read errors

I have an Alienware MX14-R2 with the DVD burner, and win 7 64 bit, and am getting this message when attempting to create an image:

Read operation hit a ECC\EDC bad (recoverable) block (837)

The thing is I was able to create an image for this disc on another(vista) pc, but can't do it here. What gives?

I am runni DT lite 4.45.4.0315

Either the drive on the other Vista PC has better error correction, or the disc has been scratched since then,
or you've used another software on the Vista PC which is capable of skipping bad sectors - DT lite isn't.
