Help w/ Mounting and Creating Disk Images

I installed the. sims 2 with no problem but when im trying to play it i get a "Conflict with Emulation Software detected." I looked into the game database and saw that The Sims 2 needed a SafeDisc. I created only only to get a "Please insert the original disc instead of a backup (1000)." Im not sure what im doing wrong. Ive used DT Lite before with no problems I decided to give the DT Pro trail a shot so not exactly sure how to work it. Please help!

That error message shows that your version is already using SecuROM - not Safedisc.
In 2008 (iirc) EA completely switched from Safedisc to SecuROM.
Since that date all Sims 2 editions/AddOns are using the Sony DADC protection.

You need to create a MDS or MDX image with DT Pro using the New SecuROM profile.
Mount that image in a virtual SCSI or IDE drive - not in a DT drive.
