Daemon Tools Lite emulation issue

Hi,

I’m new to this. I’ve created an .mds image of a Securom 8 protected software CD (just some language learning software). I used Alcohol120% 2.0.2 (trial version) with RMPS emulation. I burned the image to CD and it runs fine under Alcohol with ‘ignore Media Type’ checked. However I’d like to run the same .mds image under emulation. I’ve tried using Daemon Tools Lite 4.46 using a SCSI virtual drive. However, I repeatedly get the error, ‘Unable to authenticate original disc within time limit.’

I’d appreciate any help on finding a solution.

Most common reasons for that error message are:

- high CPU load / too many background processes
- Security software disturbing the check / messing up the emulation timing
- overclocking
- (very) fragmented HDD
- SecuROM messing around

Also please uncheck all advanced emulation options in Preferences; they're only required for burned copies.

I read that in another context, but please also try once with disabled internet connection.
If everything fails you could also try to start the app after a clean Windows boot.

btw. what's the name of the software ?
