We still have to use 4.12.3 DT Lite commercial version due to various incompatibility issues of the new branch of DT Lite with our software. Mostly CD emulation problems, DVDs are OK now. Our lead programmer was able to tune our software to work with version 4.41.3 (tested here in the freeware mode) on all the testing PCs (Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit), but following DTLite versions incl. the latest 4.47.1 still report SCSI errors for ISO images, CUE images.... See the attachments.
We want to update our licenses and buy 15-20 commercial versions of the new DT lite, but cannot do it until the latest version will work with our SW.
We use Symantec Endpoint Protection on all PCs, but it should have no influence on DTLite's behaviour (no notes in logs). All with latest updates and OS patches.
Our software reads all the physical CDs and DVDs without problems (C2 checking, EDC-ECC, all subcodes, incl. CD-Text, ISRC, UPC/EAN, indexes etc.) so there is no problem with the same regular commands for physical drives.
It seems to me, that DT Lite responds to our Read_CD_MSF commands incorrectly or in a non-standard way. Please see SCSI Multi-Media Commands 6 specification, part 6.20 READ CD MSF Command.
Do you have any hint or recommendation what to do on our side or a new version of DTLite will be released? Thanks for any answer.
Edit: The same image and all others work well in 4.12.3 (Windows XP 32 bit) and 4.41.3 (higher Windows). Various problems appear using Read_CD_MSF commands for CD-Audio/CD-ROM emulation (CUE/BIN) and CD-ROM emulation (ISO).
