Daemon Tools stopped my DVD/CD drive from working?

Hey guys my CD/DVD drive had been working just fine, however when i went to install a video game today i noticed that i would insert the CD and nothing would show up in my computer. At first i thought it was something with my BIOS, however after removing daemon tools and restarting the drive began working perfectly fine again. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Probably some already installed (burning) software conflicting with DT drivers which results in a failing device start.

Can be often fixed with this Microsoft solution:
Your CD or DVD drive can't read or write media

If that doesn't solve the problem please try to manually delete upper/lower filter as described here (Resolution):
The CD drive or the DVD drive does not work as expected on a computer that is running Windows Vista (also works on Windows XP & 7).
