Problem : Attaching virtual device to physical device

I have DT PRO 5.4 Advanced Trial version.

I have Lite On 24x ATAPI SATA DVD drive.


I tryed attach IDE or SCSI virtual devices to physical device (Lite On 24x) but it did not work.


Attaching menu deactiveted on device parameters menu. it says "no devices were found."


But DT PRO shows on my physical drive CD DVD devices menu.

What is the problem?

Note: I installed SPTD 1.86 x64. My OS is Windows 7 x64

Do you still have your Gigabyte GA-P55AUD3R ?
If so, which SATA port is your optical drive connected to ?
To a standard Intel one (0-5), or to a Marvel chip one (6+7) ?

How is the SATA mode set up in BIOS (IDE/AHCI/RAID), manual page 50+51 ?

I have new PC so trial time again

i have msi z87g45 mainboard and liteon ihas124 connected to sata port

My sata setting is AHCI mode


Is this a dt pro bug ?

Must i wait dt pro 5.5?
