Does the ASPI layer has a conflict with Daemon Tools?

Operating System: Windows XP
Burning Software: Iomega HotBurn Pro 2.4, Nero 6 Ultra Edition
Anti-virus Software: McAfee VirusScan 8
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.3

After installing the ASPI layer in Windows XP, my Iomega Super DVD Writer doesn't want to burn any CD or DVD. I thought that maybe the ASPI layer is the problem, but after contacting the Iomega support, they said that there's no trouble between the ASPI layer and the Iomega drive. So, is there any trouble between the ASPI layer and Daemon Tools?

Which ASPI version did you install?

The one that came with Nero 6: version 2.0.1.56.

You should use v4.60 or 4.71/2 from Adaptec.
