Drive Doesn't appear in My Computer after Install

Operating System: XP Pro
Burning Software: Nero 5.5.10.56
Anti-virus Software: NAV 2003 (installed with System Works)
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.44

I have a strange problem I haven't seen in Your Forum/Help section. When I install Daemontools, During the install it comes up with Add New Hardware Wizard and Asks for the location of the files for the Scsi Driver. I leave it to install and when it's finished installing, It closes that window and either re-boots or goes back to desktop depending whether I answer yes or no. After a Re-boot, Daemon tools work fine until Windows makes a popping noise and the found new Hardware icon comes up in the System Tray. As soon as that happens, the drive disappears from my computer and re-mounting the image has no effect. It doesn't matter what options I try and change, nothing happens. I installed the software without problems on another machine. It's just this machine that causes the problem.

This means MS catalog files with digital signatures on your PC are broken.
In the device manager try to force standard driver for virtual CDROM from cdrom.inf that is supplied with OS.
This problem may be fixed by uninstalling/reinstalling service pack.
