can i use daemon tools without a cd rom?

Operating System: win xp pro
Burning Software: nero
Anti-virus Software: mcafee
DAEMON Tools Version: latest

pretty simple.. i dunno why, but my cd rom stopped working, i tried switch the cdrom, then the ribbon.. so my last idea is that its the port from the motherboard... i dont give a shit, i just wanna use daemon tools :P anything i can do ?
