Anti-virus Software: None
DAEMON Tools Version: up to 3.44
Hello,
First thank you for this great tool.
I had only one problem, with one BIN/.CUE image. When mounted with Daemon Tools, the access to a file generates a CRC error.
I found two ways to solvethe problem :
1) I converted the .BIN to a .ISO with WinIso. The .ISO image is mounted with Daemon Tools.
or
2) I burn the .BIN to a CD-RW.
In both cases, there is have no CRC error and the file is read correctly.
The CRC error maybe comes from a bad .BIN image of the original CD.
Conclusion : it seems that CRC is handled differently by .BIN and .ISO, and that the CDROM hardware can do a correct CRC check.
When converting back the correct .ISO to a .bin, the CRC error comes back.
Are the Daemon Tools less good at correcting CRC errors ?
Thank you for your support
