reinstall problems 2, more specific

OK, upon udating to Winxp from Win98 the deam tools did not work anymore so i uninstalled it. Winxp gave an error message that it could not unintall completely as files were missing. When reinstalling Deamon tools error message appaers that it is looking for a msi file that is no longer existing on my system.
Also Nero doesnt work anymore, the system crashes simply. When trieing to access the virtual (F drive with a file manager the system crashes also.
Please help.
