I'm having the same problem. I've installed this program on this computer in the past, but the computer was formatted and I had to reinstall it. Now, when I hit the install button, it just turns off. Nothing.
Check in task manager if daemon.exe is running, if so end it, then try to remove -lang 1033 switch from desktop icon -> properties. If it works you can try it for autostart (registry), too.

I'm not familiar with what autostart is, but it wasn't running in my task manager. There still appears to be other drives on my computer which I don't know how to remove.
I'm thinking a complete uninstall might be in order, but it isn't in the add/remove files area.

I'm Having the same problem, running XP.... installed, have no icon on the tray, only Deamon icon on wallpaper, but when I double click it, nothing happens, ????? HELP!!
Removing lang 1033 from icon, did not work either!!!
