daemon tools wont startup

Same happening to me!!

Operating System: XP
Burning Software: Nero
Anti-virus Software: ZA
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

Same thing is happening to me, NOTHING when I click on the icon.... have tried all remidies suggested here so far and they havn't helped, need the proggie to work... hoping that someone will look into this and be able to help!!

DT Wont startup

Operating System: Win XP Pro +SP2
Burning Software: Nero 5.5.6.3, CloneCD 4.0.1.6,
Anti-virus Software: Norton Anti Virus 2002 8.07.17C
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

Same thing is happening to me. I install DT 3.47 and it seems to install ok. However the icon doesnt appear in the systray like other versions (I can install/run v3.44 ok) If I double click icon nothing happens, it doesnt load etc.

I have tried several times uninstalling/reinstalling. I can go back to v3.44 ok.

Any ideas?

Same problem was happening to me so I tried this and it worked for me, maybe it'll work for you:

1. Open Windows Task Manager (by Ctrl-Alt-Del)
2. On the Processes tab, locate daemon.exe
3. Click End Process button
4. Close Task Manager
5. Click the desktop shortcut for Daemon Tools
6. Tray icon loads (at least for me it did)
