which daemon to use?

i remember when i installed daemon tools sometime ago that my comp will hang on startup. since then i have reformated my comp. i want to install daemon tools again and i don't want it to hang on startup. i have read that From dtools 3.43 up that it hangs the comp. So am i suppose to use the earlier versions? or is there a way to use the latest version without having it stall on startup?

The hang problem you mentioned was related to Win98 only, so give v3.47 a try, if it hangs check thread about how to boot into safe mode in common problems and solutions forum.

i went on ahead and installed daemon tools. when i tried to restart the comp it loaded to the win logo loading screen and hung there. went into safe mode and did as this forum told to remove. comp is running fine now but does this mean that i can't use D-tools? am i the only one with this problem? i have no clue why it hangs... :cry:
