Starforce is NOT present, but still BSOD in install - SCSIPORT.SYS

Operating System: XP, SP2
Burning Software: ....Nothing is installed
Anti-virus Software: ....Not using any yet...
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

.....
I recieve the SCSIPORT blue screen of death during the installation process.
I realize this thread exists:

but, it didn't solve the problem.
the executables tell me that 'no protection drivers found to remove'
...

Figured it out...

I've been browsing the internet for a few hours searching for an answer...

...And I came across this:

VIA chipsets should check to make sure they are using the most up to date IDE drivers...
Otherwise a BSOD SCSIPORT.sys error could result for the reasons outlined in the above site.

This pertains to using both Alcohol 120% and Daemon Tools..
