Daemon Wont Load

Operating System: Windows XP Pro
Burning Software: Nero 6
Anti-virus Software: Norton 2005
DAEMON Tools Version: latest one as of 6/23/05

I installed Daemon and it loads only sometimes and I can't make it load most of the time. I click on the system tray icon and nothing happnes.

I read the sticky about how the new Windows XP pro messes up everything and to download the OLD msi file. I did that, but when I try to install it, it wount let me because it says its older than the one in there already.

I don't know what to do now.

Check if system tray icon is visible, if not check if daemon.exe is running (via taskmanager), if so end the process and re-start via desktop icon.

thats the problem. When you click on the desktop icon..still nothing happens.

Its not visable in the task tray and clicking on or running the program does nothing. I have already tried reinstalling as well to no avail.
