the 25009 PROBLEM AGAIN !!!!

Burning Software: nero
Anti-virus Software: norton
DAEMON Tools Version: cant install it can i!!!

had to delate dt now i can not for the life of me reinstal , have followed all the advice in various threads, but no luck and it seems i am not he only one , please mr administrator / developer with respect is there a clearer way to do this ? a tutorial maybe ? with step by step instructions , i have delated files and followed many steps but 4 hours later , no luck , forgive me but i am realy chese off with this problem and i would be gratefull for help .

Why did you have to un-install Daemon Tools?
Did you use some anti-blacklisting tool like e.g. Anti-Blaxx?

i had to uninstall due to a system failiure, dont know what anti blax is and isnt on this machine as far as i know , as i say i have followed all the advice and FAQ as to this problem , but no luck , tearing my hair out ( whats left of it ) over this as i canot run some programes without it .
any advice gratefully apriciated ,

Check with regedt32 the permissions of the following keys:
In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es hive the keys with corresponding driver names (i.e. d347prt and d347bus),
and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\D-Tools key,
and Daemon Tools related keys in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\
and in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products hive.
Also check if any other remains of previous installation are present by
following all steps mentioned in thread about error 25002,
reboot after the procedure, then try to re-install.

tank you for the reply , but no luck , i checked every wher in the reg and delated all refrences to daemon as your instructions , , realy down about this now as i have programs i need to run in order for exams , any other ideas

So you've full access to those keys?
And you said you followed already the steps mentioned in some other threads, so you also have full access to the key

where 000x is the hive with Daemon Tools PnP BIOS Extension?

In SYSTEM there are 4 files 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003, the only one that has anything with the word BIOS in it is 0002 in amongst the files is " microsoft system management BIOS driver , is that it ? and what should i now do ??

No, it's PnP BIOS Extension.
Please post the "DeviceDesc" of each 000x hive.

ok as follows

0000, plug and play software device enumerator
0001, microcode update device
0002, microsoft system management BIOS driver
0003, nothing in it , apart from , ab ( default ) REG_SZ ( value not set )
unlike the others it has no other files in it , e.g if you expand 0, 1, 2, you will get two other folders , control , & log conf

0000 PnP-Softwaregeräte-Enumerator = plug and play software device enumerator
0001 Microcode-Updategerät = microcode update device
0002 Empty

Please solve tghis problem 'cause I dont want to reinstall windows

Check the permissions of the empty one, do you have full access to it?

yes i did all that crap already, nothing worked

i've solved by my self:

i've created a 0003 thanks to this thread http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/port...ic.php?p=23392 with full permission... and it worked *happy*
perhaps this helps billandben, too

PS: there is smth. odd... now 0002 is d347bus 0003 empty and 0004 d347prt. nothing important, but kinda strange
