Can't open DAEMON Tools

Operating System: XP Home edition
Burning Software: N/A
Anti-virus Software: Shaw Secure
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

I downloaded 3.47version and installed it. It put a Daemon icon on the desktop but it doesn't open. As it is the first time I am using it, I am not sure if it is supposed to open. I configure it from another icon on the quick launch.
Please help.

This is the only interface you get (and need) for Daemon Tools. Right-click it to control Daemon Tools.
