Operating System: Windows XP
Burning Software: None
Anti-virus Software: None
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47
For some reason, when I mount some games (Spellforce in particular), my system completely hangs and is slowly drained of memory.
Order of operations:
1. Mount spellforce.
2. Spellforce autorun popup comes up.
3. Memory quickly begins to trickly away, system hangs.
4. If I explore the CD rom drive, some of the files have the word 'dead' as prefixes to them (deadspellforce.exe).
Basically, I cannot do anything until I unmount the image. Once unmounted, the memory is freed properly. What is happening? The image runs fine on 3 of my other friends systems, running the same software.
