won't reconize vd after xp reinstall

I just reinstalled XP and now when I boot I get a window titled Virtual drive that say's the drive is not reconized. Also when I try to start the manager nothing happens and sometins I get the message that About.dll is missing. This was configured for me by the person that built my PC who is no longer available so I am looking for help. The VD was set up for BF1942. Now I have put the CD in to play. Can you help me? Thanks
BTW I have Virtual Drive Personal v7.
