Help, Can't install v3.47.

Hi I was wondering if someone can't help me with my problem. I haven't used daemon tools since v2.74 and I was trying to get the new version but everytime I try to install that first setup page comes up with the EULA, Readme, and the History but I can't go past it. When I click on install it says that I have to have internet explorer version 4 and up but I'm already running internet explorer v6.0.28 so I don't know why I'm getting this message, any help would be appreciated.
I'm running a
1.0GHz athlon
windows xp
512 ram
20 Gigs
Nvidia GeForce 2 128

1. type the following on the command prompt
rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance

thanks for responding...but I've tried the things that you laid out and still 3.47 is asking for new IE...I tried installing 3.44 and it gave an error and asked me to launch windows update. I ran the prompt thing to fix IE, and I repaired windows xp, I don't know what else to do.

You could try updating windows?!
