not a valid win32 application in WinXP pro and 2000 pro

for some reason Daemon doesnt install. My computer, p4, 2.4ghz, 80 gig hdd, running 2000 pro and xp pro says its not a valid win32 application. plz help

tried it with version 3.26 and 3.29, and both had the same error. strangely enough, it works on my other puter, running 98, a p2 350mhz. someone help. pllzzzz
