DT 4.0 and clock slow down

This might be very weird but after installing DT 4.0, my clock started to behave strangely in Windows XP. It started to pause in random intervals (system time) and also timers in other applications started to behave strangely.

ie An animation on a website (which worked fine before) started to pause synchronously with clock pauses.

Everything went back to normal after uninstalling DT 4.0

DT does no modifications to system time or clock.
The issue is really weird.

I will try installing DT v4 again tonight and see what happens.

Is there any known compatibility issues with AnyDVD that might cause this?
