Error running NHL 2003

when I load the nhl2003 iso, then try to run the disc i get an error where it says "Cannot get address of DirectXSetupGetVersion" then i click ok, then I get an error saying "m_DirectXSetupGetVersion is NULL" Then nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like maybe directx is messed up. Try updating to the latest version (9.0 afaik). You should also try updating nhl 2k3 as well.
