Hmm, then where is your PATA harddisk?

PATA harddisk should not in the scsi subkey, right? In HARDWARE key, there are only FullScreenVideo, KeyboardClass, PointerClass, Scsi, VIDEO subkeys, no Disc, or IDE, or something else.

I am not familiar with the HKLM\HARDWARE\ key, and I do not know what exactly information you want. I think in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services there are information about my computer's drivers.

All IDE and SCSI devices must be under this key.
This just means the driver used is "unusual", i.e. not follows
common scheme. I think it is "VIA IDE Accelerator Driver 1.21".
I would recommend you remove it and use standard atapi.sys from Microsoft.

Yes, it solved the problem! Thanks very much!!!

Seems the beta version driver should not be used in common situations.

          Thanks again.
